Restaurant

The cuisine of the Locanda is inspired by local traditions and makes use of the typical products of the area. Homemade pasta, soups, excellent meat, traditional desserts and   sweets are all dishes that are prepared by with the experience of la Signora Giovanna according to recipes handed down for generations.

Gli Antipasti
Antico Sannio (Starter of the Antico Sannio)

Basket containing  different salami with pepper, fennel and paprika

All'italiana – (Mixed  Italian coldcuts)

Ham, Mozzarella cheese, Olives Prosciutto, mozzarella, olives e bresaola.

All the pasta is homemade.

 


Menu  with the  flavours of Sannio:

Cavatelli, which are prepared with water, flour and eggs and carved one by one are later cooked with tomatoes, with broccoli and  bacon and with different vegetables.

Desserts

Every day Giovanna prepares different cakes or desserts: crust with marmelade or with chocolate, ringshaped cake, fruitcakes, cheesecakes, babà. 

 

Wine

The  large wine cellar  dug out in the tufa caves has a large selection of wines and  liquors.

The Colasanto family's  own farm produces red and white wine:

 

Ripa di Troia (Merlot, Cabernet, Piedirosso  and  Guarnacciola)

Oro del Sannio (Malvasia) e and the wellknown Moscato di Baselice.

The wine list also includes Falanghina, Aglianico, Solopaca, Villa dei Greci, Trebbiano di Romagna, Pignoletto frizzante, Gottod'oro, Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Barbera, Coda di volpe, Moscato.

Even the  olive oil used for cooking is produces at the family farm.

 

We can host up to 50 guests sitting down for dinner  or lunch.

Baptisms, wedding celebrations and business lunches are often held in our restaurant.

The environment is perfect also for romantic candle lit dinners.
